African Array Lodge is nestled between an array of wild flowers on a high cliff in a Private reserve only five min from the center of town. Apart from the amazing full Panoramic view of the Piesang valley the hostel is cozy and has a wonderful homely atmosphere, perfect for travelers who like to be out of town and experience the beauty and nature the Garden Route is known for. During the day we offer total peace and tranquility Relax on one of the hammock in the garden overlooking the best view in Plettenberg bay or make yourself at home on the sun deck and watch as the fish eagles soar over the lake and calling out the songs of Africa. Take advantage of the free internet while sipping on an ice cold beer and stay in touch with your loved ones. At night we light the fires inside and outside relax under the Milky Way while getting to know our guest and listening to some amazing travel stories. Satellite TV is available for the guest who would like to just chill on a movie or watch a game live on a big screen. Try one of our dinners and you just might decide to stay one more night. Before leaving for your days activities, start with a breakfast on the sundeck and a good old cup of the world’s number one coffee. Hospitality at its best! Protea Room - Quad Protea is the only room upstairs and is a luxury bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed and full en suite bathroom. From this bedroom there are beautiful views of the Robberg Peninsula and Ocean. Lie in bed listening to the dawn chorus of the many bird species. Suikerbos room - Double Suikerbos is on the ground floor with a double bed and shared bathroom. Look out onto the spectacular Robberg Peninsula and Ocean from your bedroom. Relax on the patio and experience the magnificent African sunsets. Fynbos room - Double Fynbos is on the ground floor with a double bed and patio with shared bathroom which overlooks our indigenous garden. The perfect room to sit and admire the many species of birds found at African Array. Dainty Sugarbush - 6 sleeper family room Dainty Sugarbush is on the ground floor sleeping 6 guests on a double bed and 2 bunk beds. There is a modern en suite bathroom. With spectacular views of our indigenous garden and Jakkels Kraal dairy farm. Lie back and savour the peace and tranquility. King Protea - Dormitory King Protea dorm is a mixed dorm on the ground floor sleeping 16 guests on bunk beds with shared bathrooms. Lie back and savour the sounds of the birds.
