Plettenberg Bay is the hub of adventure on the Garden route. From here a million of exiting activities can be done. One of them, riding your mountain bike. The riding possibilities are endless. The serious mountain biker as well as the recreational rider, with the help of the capable expertise of Mountainbikingsouthafrica, can plan a ride to suit your every need. We know the routes and the difficulty of the tracks and will be able to take you for a brilliant ride.
Bring your own bike or hire one or ours. You decide how far and how hard you want to go and we will plan the day.
Ideas for rides:
Cycle through the forest and look for tracks of the Knysna Elephant
From Storms river village a track takes you through indigenous forest, swim in the river
Test your fitness up the Prince Alfred Pass. We know all the routes that you will not find on your own.
The Bloukrans Pass is closed for traffic. We cycle through this spectacular valley and see the Bloukrans Bridge and the Bungee jump from a different angle.
Multi day trips, tours and holidays:
From Plettenberg bay as starting point we offer different multi day tours in different directions.
A seven day trip takes you from Plettenberg Bay towards Knysna, George, Montaque Pass, Swartberg Pass, Prince Albert, de Rust, and via Prince Albert Pass back to Plettenberg Bay.
A special tour through the Baviaanskloof and the Grootrivierpoort area. Cycle for five days and experience solitude and peace like nowhere else while you test your body to its limits.
Rates:
A half day excursion will cost you R500.00pp. Additional activities can be organized for instance lunch. The rates will then be adjusted according to the detail.
Bike hire: R150.00 per day.
